Reporters tend to “hype” the villains in their stories. Do not believe them when they say some “genius hacker” commits a computer crime. Most computer viruses are copies or modifications of an earlier program. There are networks of hackers who share their tools of the trade. What qualifies a reporter to measure the IQ of the criminal?
When a mugger stabs a victim, no one says the attacker is a budding surgeon or financial wizard. Please avoid promoting a criminal to make a story sound impressive.
